My love for Rottweilers began in 1995 when I was a teenage boy living in New Jersey. I begged my parents for a Rottweiler puppy for months. Eventually they gave in and got me my first female Rottweiler puppy, who I named "Sasha".
Fast forward to a little over 20 years later; my love for the breed has grown into a passion that I get to share
with my family and hopefully one day the world.
A-9 Rottweilers LLC is a small, independent, family owned & operated pet service kennel, located in Sunny Florida. Our goal is to produce show, working and breeding quality dogs that also make excellent family pets. We are accomplishing these goals by breeding top German and other European bloodlines. Our dogs have excellent temperament, structure, and drive, temperament being the most important. We believe by specifically breeding Rottweilers with these characteristics will produce the ideal companion and protector for any family.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, I firmly believe in the importance of trust, loyalty, and respect. Our dogs provide the best companionship for active and retired military members. We are actively working to create a pet program for veterans that enhances their overall quality of life. We look forward to welcoming you to the A-9 Family!
"Make your next K-9 an A-9 Rottweiler."
A dog is typically pregnant for about about 9 weeks (approx. 63 days). It then takes another 8 weeks from birth for the pups to be completely weaned off of the mother. For Example: a puppy born in January would be ready to go to their new "forever home" in March.
A-9 Rottweilers currently offers air and ground shipment throughout the U.S. at an additional cost to the buyer(s). We only use the best pet shipping services that are as stress-free as possible for our pups. Shipping costs usually range between $350 - $650 per puppy throughout the U.S.. ***NOTE*** WE NOW OFFER INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. Contact us for more info.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN "AMERICAN" ROTTWEILER! It's really just a made up term for a poorly bred dog as oposed to a well bred dog. Unfortunately, it appears that the term was created because of the improper breedings that have taken place here in the U.S.. These breedings produced dogs that did not fit the European standard of what the breed should be in terms of looks and temperament. Technically, all Rottweilers originally descended from Rome. They were later further established in Germany and named after the town of Rottweil. All of our dogs come from very strong German and other European lineage. The only thing that would make a Rottweiler American is the fact that they are born on American soil and nothing else.
In the late 1990's it became illegal in most European and other countries to dock tails on dogs including the Rottweiler. Keeping the tail natural on a Rottweiler is now the standard practice in many European (FCI/ADRK) and other countries. The American standard (AKC) still allows for the the tail of a Rottweiler to be docked (cut), but it is not a requirement. The reason you may see more Rottweilers with tails now is simply because of personal preference and beliefs. Many of our dogs here at A-9 Rottweilers have their natural tails intact. This is because we compete with our dogs in European style shows which favor the natural tail. It took us some getting used to, but in time we have grown to love & appreciate the way the tail looks on the Rottweiler.
Currently, we offer both natural and docked (cut) tail litters based on the demand of our clients. We try make sure to mention on every litter post about whether or not a litters tails will be docked or remain natural. Follow and check our social media pages (and website) regularly to stay up-to-date on current breedings and litter announcements.
The typical lifespan of a Rottweiler can range between 10 - 15 years. Of course proper diet, exerscise, and regular vet visits will play a big factor in terms of the overall health & lifespan of your new family member.
At full maturity our females typically weigh in at 85 -115 lbs and our males weigh in at 110 -130 lbs. ***These are just the average weights. They can get much bigger.***
The average cost of an A-9 Rottweiler puppy would be between $2500-$4500. All A-9 pups come with AKC Registration, AKC Reunite Microchip, Florida Health Certification with all vaccines and dewormings up-to-date (which includes vaccine against parvo). A genetic health warranty that covers Hip/Elbow Dysplasia, (JLPP) Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy; and cardiac issues if they occur. We also offer lifetime breeder support. ***Keep in mind that these are the average prices and can be higher or lower, based on the lineage and quantity of the litter.*** Shipping is available if needed at an additional cost to the buyer.
You can reserve a puppy with a deposit of $500 or $1000 (deposit price is determined by the litter). The deposit can be sent to us via: Cash App, Venmo, Zelle or PayPal. The deposit amount will come off of the final price of the pup. For example: if your final price is $3000 and you've already placed a $1000 deposit, then your balance would $2000. EARLY RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED due to the fact that our litters sell out very quickly. In many cases they are sold out before they are born. IF YOU DO NOT RESERVE WITH A DEPOSIT, THEN WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SPOT ON OUR WAITING LIST.
We love our customers, so feel free to call during normal business hours. Calls received after normal business hours will usually be returned the following business day. ***Because of the high volume of calls and emails that we receive, it may take 72 hours (sometimes up to 1 week) for us to respond back to you.***
